Come visit us this summer, in the remote Zuni Mountains of NW New Mexico. Just two miles from El Morro Monument, and a short drive from the Zuni Pueblo, a trip to El Morro is a cultural and deeply spiritual experience. And our amenities for such an untouched region - are unmatched. From our well-reviewed cafe & cabin rentals, to a host of art galleries and seasonal events, we have plenty of offerings to keep you coming back to our mountains.
Click the activities tab in the upper navigation to learn more about local activities when booking your cabin.
And a glimpse of Los Gigantes pictured to the left is magical. But please stay in your vehicle, as this land is privately held. It is located about five miles west of our cabins and just past the monument.
Oso Ridge seen in the distance peaks at approximately 870o' and the notch dividing the mountain was once used by ancient American Indians to reach the sacred site of Los Gigantes - the wind carved sandstone seen above. It's a must see if visiting the area. Just ask any of our employees for directions.
El Morro National Monument, once visited by conquistadors and explorers before beginning their explorations out west, is rich in history. Our cabins are just two miles from The Nose of El Morro, seen to the right during a wet monsoon season. Learn more about El Morro's role in the expansion out west at their visitor center. Book a Cabin by clicking the blue BOOK NOW button at the upper right.
Be sure to inquire about seasonal events when booking your cabin. We have two local music venues that regularly host touring musicians. And don't forget pie - our on-site cafe offers some of the best desserts in the state, as well as breakfast and lunch. Just more reasons to visit this enchanted land.
We reserve the Right to Serve Everyone.

Corona Virus Update:
Due to the pandemic, The Ancient Way Cafe will be closed until Spring. As a result, we have added compact refrigerators, hot plates, dishes, cooking utensils, and BBQ grills to each cabin rental. Please bring your own provisions. Major grocers are in nearby Grants, though we do have a local holistic food store, with a limited selection, directly across the street. Hours vary.
