Our cabins in the NW New Mexico mountains sit at the base of El Morro and Bond Mesa, just two miles east of the National Monument. Because of mild weather conditions year round, El Morro is a great vacation destination for any season - summertime lows at night drop into the 50s. And the monument's visitor center is a great place to learn more about New Mexico's contribution to the expansion out west at the turn of the century.
Cabin rental starts at $98 per night, with a check-in time at 1:00 p.m. Our early check-in gives you extra time time to see the recreational, artistic, and spiritual aspects of our community.
Venture across the street to experience two art galleries, both of which feature numerous local artisans, and the variety found in the neighboring holistic food store will surprise you. Next door to us is the trading post that features great gifts and gourmet coffee. Both Navajo and Zuni artists are represented. Additionally, our own Ancient Way Café hosts many artists in our cafe gallery. And just a few miles away is the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary. Ask about their tour schedule when booking your cabin and see our activities page to learn more about the area.
A weekend escape is just a mountain cabin rental away! Wake up to breakfast at our café, or make reservations for an evening gourmet meal, Friday or Saturday nights from 5-8 pm. The Ancient Way Café is otherwise open 4 days a week 9 - 5, Thursday thru Sunday. Inquire about spiritual events when booking your cabin.
We reserve the Right to Serve Everyone.
El Morro Cabin Rental and The Ancient Way Cafe has a non-discrimination policy and proudly provides service to all, regardless of race, color, sex, religion, sexual preference (gay and lesbian friendly), disability, or any other potentially discriminatory status.
Update: We have recently added compact refrigerators, cooking utensils, hot plates, dishes, and grills to each cabin rental. While major grocery stores are available in nearby Grants, there is a limited selection of food just across the street at our local holistic food store. The Ancient Way Cafe is currently closed due to Covid. It will re-open in Spring of 2021.
